The University of Georgia dedicated the Charles Schwab Financial Planning Center on Thursday, April 11, in a ceremony recognizing the accomplishments of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences’ financial planning programs and the generous support of Charles Schwab Foundation.
Charles Schwab Foundation, in partnership with Schwab Advisor Services, committed $575,000 on behalf of independent investment advisors to the renovation of the college’s Financial Planning Research Center, or “House B.” Three independent advisory firms in Atlanta – SignatureFD, TrueWealth Management and Homrich Berg Wealth Management – also committed a total of $100,000 to the project.
The project provides world-class facilities for training the next generation of financial planning professionals. Because of these facilities, programs like Virtual VITA, which is already having a significant impact across Georgia, will flourish and UGA’s financial planning programs, ranked among the best in the country, will remain on the cutting-edge of their field.
